The very first thing we noticed about gamecopywizard was the little, manageable size of their copying software. The latest version of their exclusive game copying software is version 2.3, and the whole download clocks in at only under 2MB. Other developers should pay attention to this...bigger doesn't mean better. Of all of the game duplicating software we've tested, this Game Copy Wizard review introduced us to the tiniest and most stable program of all, while still maintaining all the features found in other copying programs.
Before we go further in-depth into the software program itself, let's look into some of the other areas of importance for this Game Copy {Wizard} review. In addition to the software program, we got a bonus product with our order, Advanced Console Tricks. We are not sure the book is worth the supposed $30 they claim it is, but it is a pleasant little addition nonetheless. We weren't especially impressed with the writing on the site, as despite the limited amount of writing on the site, they still managed to infuse it with inadequately written and grammatically incorrect writing. This is not of great significance, but showed a scarcity of professionalism.
Finally, we tested out the internet site's customer service by contacting them with a question (not a query we required the answer to mind you, simply as a way to test out their level of service). Their reply was received inside 12 hours, and was personally tailored to us and not a universal response. We were impressed by the understanding of their purchaser service staff, and their eagerness to go into extreme detail to help out their customers.
Back to the software program itself. We commenced by testing its compatibility with a wide range of systems. We copied the Sega Saturn game Glowing Silvergun, followed by the PlayStation game Metal Gear Solid. After this we moved up to the next generation of hardware, duplicating the Xbox's Radiance, the Nintendo Gamecube's Zelda: Twilight Princess, and the PlayStation 2's Dynasty Warriors 5. Finally we progressed on to the current generation hardware, making copies of the Wii's Wii Sports, the Xbox 360's Lost Odyssey, and the PlayStation 3's Metal Gear Solid 4.
The duplicating process was smooth no matter the system or game copied, and we experienced no technical difficulties, which was a nice change of speed from similar programs. Next we sat down to play our copied games. Whatever the game or system, we were completely impressed by the result. A fair deal of duplicating software program has difficulty with animated sequences and audio, but our copies ran flawlessly, with nary a hitch.
Our last goal for this Game Copy Wizard review was to check out its capability to copy Software games, which also gave us an opportunity to guage the software's built in copy protection busting capabilities. Again, we walked away impressed with the result. We copied the PC game Spore, which uses the sinister SecuROM copy protection. Gamecopywizard chopped through it and copied Spore without any issues, no patches required.
